理由としてはこいつらは基本的に移動拠点同然のペガサス級をねぐらに護衛任務をしてるから

そのためにバリケード代わりにシールドを運用したりするので、消耗も激しくなるシールドを複数ストックさせるのにサブアームを使ってる
だから地上編で登場するMSのほとんどはこのガンダムヘッド以外めったにサブアームを持ってないし使う理由もない、もともとサンダーボルト宙域でデブリを受けながす運用するためのサブアームシールドだしな
