映画に登場するメカゴジラはいかにも23世紀の超兵器というか丸みを帯びた雰囲気のスーパーロボットだったのに対して、幻版はキャタピラとかメーサー砲とか、どこか自衛隊っぽさが残されている気がして、むしろリアルロボット寄りというか23世紀技術を20世紀なりに解釈したような不十分さを感じて好印象だ。
